Best fine dining experience in Ho Chi Minh. Great atmosphere, thoughtfully prepared dishes, and attentive service by our waitress Nhi. Excellent food, especially loved the introduction of local Vietnamese ingredients.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is very pleasant, sober but pleasant decoration, controlled lighting as well as the music that is not invasive and a very well selected playlist. Here you can easily talk with your guests even if the restaurant is full. Staff very welcoming and professional. Dining here is a real experience and the chef takes you on a journey through different tastes of Asia with Malay, Singapore, Chinese inspiration. The products are rigorously selected and excellently prepared. I will return for sure.

Our last dinner at Saigon and it was so lovely! The theme we had for our meal is ‘Nanyang’ which has a strong oriental element which I think they’re the only one in HCMC. Not only the ingredients were fantastic, the menu curation was so creative too! Our server, Thanh, is also very knowledgeable and had introduced the background of each cuisine well too. It’s especially impressive since she’s explained all this in a foreign language! Oh and I really like the tamarind sake from my wine paring so much! 100% recommend to try. 👍🏻
In addition to the delicious food Decoration with care Nhi&Thanh service is also very good The manager is Taiwanese and very friendly. Will definitely come again in the future😍
It was my first time to try Nanyang-style fine dining. It was quite interesting to taste a variety of different exotic dishes. The waiter Nhi also introduced us to each meal and concept very professionally. We will visit again next time when the menu is updated!
Every dish is very unique, and the service from entering the restaurant, introducing the menu, and explaining the dishes is very good. Our waiter this time is Nhi, who speaks English very well and is very humorous. This meal is particularly unforgettable! ! !

A true gem. Absolutely phenomenal. I wouldn’t be surprised if they get a Michelin star in the coming months/year. The plates are very well-presented and each dish is perfectly balanced. Everything, from the ingredients to the flavors, is perfect. I couldn’t recommend a restaurant more. Pricey but worth every penny. Thank you!

It was an incredible experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, showcasing authentic flavors with a modern twist. Every dish was perfectly seasoned, and the ingredients tasted fresh and high-quality. The service was impeccable. The staff were not only friendly but also attentive, ensuring that our dining experience was comfortable and enjoyable. They were knowledgeable about the menu. The atmosphere was perfect for a relaxed and enjoyable meal. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a beautiful interior that added to the overall dining experience. It’s clear that a lot of thought has gone into creating an environment that complements the wonderful food and service. Overall, ORYZ Saigon exceeded my expectations, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Whether you’re looking for a great meal or a special night out, this is the place to go. I’ll definitely be returning!

Finally found time to try Oryz’s new menu Nanyang. I visit Oryz each time they come up with a new menu and this is my 4th visit but first for my husband and this menu is my favourite of the 4, I have tried. The adaptation of the Malaysia & Singaporean local favourites was excellent! I always love a good twist - loved every dish but I think super highlight is the Ponteng using Wagyu beef and Nasi Lemak dessert. I could go back a few times with friends before the menu changes. Well done Chef Chris Fong!
We had a lovely meal at Oryz. The food was very delicious and creative. We tried the 13 course menu and it was worth it. The staffs were friendly and attentive and the restaurant was cozy. Highly recommended!
Me and my girlfriend had a fantastic experience at Oryz tonight! We loved everything! The service from the staff was excellent, the prices is not too high for fine dining and the food tasted like heaven! We also loved the music which was very calm and took us into the vibe! We would really like to go back the next time we go to Vietnam!
• ORYZ Saigon is an Asian Fusion styled, 40 seat tasting menu eatery with a “bamboo|bonsai” design-scape that’s located on 51 Tran Nhat Duat in the heart of Saigon. • Head Chef & Founder Chris JH Fong rose thru prestigious restaurants such as Andre and Les Amis before arriving in Vietnam and his strategy for Oryz is unique. Chris’ signature is “shifting sands”, a passport concept that will see him update the menu regularly focused around specific regions of Asia. • We experienced the 5th rendition of this program focused on Malaysian & Singaporean cuisine. Chris’ presents like a “DJ who stays behind the decks” and he served up a hit parade of Malaysian classics including Chilli Crab, Duck Congee, Laksa Lemak, Assam Laksa, Char Khuat Teow & Nasi Lemak. The Salted Egg Yolk Bao was especially delicious, and I predict that a separate business model could eggsist around this delicacy. • Kudos to Co-Founder Franceline Chen who is running a slick operation and building bridges for Oryz with foodies throughout Asia. The table service provided by Ms Nhi was outstanding and a highlight of our experience and her encyclopaedic knowledge of the menu, communication style and hosting disposition were superb. Price:- 1,880 (15) & 1,680 (13).
