It was such a lovely experience at Oryz. Got the reservation just in time for the last week of Sai Gon - Cho Lon Menu, we could definitely see chef Chris’ culinary journey across Cho Lon in D5. I love the idea of little wooden box containing the special ingredients from different origins that we could taste before diving into well-crafted creation from our chef. Would definitely be back for many sets later.

I really like this restaurant. The dishes are decorated beautifully, and the tastes are uniquely adapted, inspired by traditional Chinese cuisine from the Chợ Lớn area. Each dish is explained in detail by the staff, including the ingredients and the preparation methods. I would love to come back again.

Creative seasoning menu , with authentic vietnamese roots combine with complex flavor out of the hands of chef. Definitely worth a try when you visit Saigon.

I had a pleasant meal at this restaurant. All the food is delicately and elaborately made, with ingredients carefully selected from different regions in Vietnam. The dishes taste very delectable and sophisticated, like a slow dance on the palate. I would highly recommend it.

I have heard of oryz a long time ago but never had time to try it. When the 2024 Michelin list came out, I saw oryz on the list and immediately arranged a meal. The atmosphere is very good as soon as you enter, and the waiters are friendly and professional. As for the meal, this time I had the chợ lớn theme, which is Vietnamese Chinese food. The presentation of the entire dish was very storytelling, and every dish was like a work of art. I especially like phở sate, chicken rice, and egg tart, and I’m already looking forward to the next season’s menu.

Very enjoyable experience. The tasting menu changes every two months, and focuses on a particular area of Southeast Asia. We tried the Saigon (cho lon) menu with local Vietnamese products cooked very delicately. The staff is extremely friendly and professional. The price, for the quality of the experience, is absolutely fair. Recommended without hesitation.

Oryz Saigon is a Michelin-recommended restaurant located in Ho Chi Minh District 1, Vietnam. It is a new restaurant on the list in 2024, and it is the only one that makes modern Chinese creative dishes, so I had to come and explore the restaurant. Chef Chris is a Chinese from Singapore. He combines Saigon's local Chinese cuisine (Five Districts Embankment District) and classic specialty ingredients from all over Vietnam to create exquisite dishes. It's so meticulous that I, a poor hand with chopsticks, have a hard time picking things up. After carefully tasting the 12 dishes, it was indeed very satisfying, with some new experiences and surprises for the taste buds, and it was also a visual feast. I’ve arranged all my favorite dishes so you can eat them eyes first! The decoration of the restaurant is simple and elegant and belongs to the "dark style". The atmosphere is comfortable and suitable for dates or business. The restaurant has a wine list but I didn’t try it because I don’t like drinking. The cost for one person including tax and service charge is less than 1.9 million dong (about $75 USD). Remember to make a reservation before going.

One of the best fine dining experience I ever had, I can really tell that chef Chris and his team put a lot of thoughts and practice in perfecting the dishes. The service staffs were all very well trained to explain the dishes in details, was fortunate to have a chance to chat with the lady boss to learn about their f&b journey too! Delicious restaurant and a good pace of serving food. The service attitude and explanation of the waiter Judy are really great.

The overall dining atmosphere is pleasant and the food is delicious Waiter Judy is very serious and explains with a smile. I hope next quarter’s meals will surprise me again
