We visited this restaurant for the first time as a group of six, all Vietnamese but living in different countries like the U.S., France, and England. Making a reservation was easy, and we highly recommend doing so.The restaurant offers a 12- to 14-course tasting menu, inspired by different regions and stories. This time, we were lucky enough to experience the Vietnamese menu (they usually focus on Chinese fusion). The staff were incredibly kind and patient with us, even as we got a bit overexcited and asked tons of questions.A special shoutout to our waitress, Nhi, who provided top-tier, white-glove service. She walked us through the story behind each dish, making the experience even more immersive. We were also surprised to learn that the executive chef is Singaporean because every dish tasted so authentic while still offering unexpected elements. If you’re thinking of going, do it before the end of March! They change their menu every quarter, and I heard that before each menu switch, the team actually travels to the featured region for taste-testing. The effort they put in is impressive, so no matter when you visit, you’re bound to have an amazing experience.
Fantastic experience of the delicacies of vietnam food from the north to the south.
We had a great time at ORYZ. The ambiance is small & relax, lighting & sound are good. The team are well-understand about the food, they are like story teller and with happy faces! The food are surprisingly, like Com Tam is our dessert, unbelievable but tasty. Chef is dedicated in R&D and convert from story, and local food into fine dining Viet-Asian fusion. Kombucha are also really yummy. Highly recommend
I took my wife here for our anniversary. We live in New York and have very high standards, and ORYZ was a top 10 all-time global dining experience for us. Impeccable food, creativity, service, and atmosphere.
I love everything about this restaurant 🩷First of all, the food is superb! Every dish is inspired by traditional Vietnamese cuisine—deconstructed and then reassembled in a delicate way without losing its essence. The staff isn’t just friendly; they move with a quiet dedication that makes you feel genuinely cared for.The space is a bit tight, but the way they arrange the tables turns it into an intimate, almost curated experience.Definitely going back for more!
Thank you NHO for carefully explaining each dish in Chinese. The meals are delicious, the dining environment is very comfortable, and it is a great dining experience!
Stunning place. Nhi presented the tasty menu professionally and super friendly. All courses was great. Also the owner Francy was able to still get us short notice a table. Fully recommended and big thx for feeding us )
I had quite a pleasant experience at Oryz Saigon, where the menu takes you on a journey from North to Central and South Vietnam. The unique twist was the Southern-style broken rice, which we expected as a savory dish but was surprisingly presented as a dessert. While the taste didn’t completely blow me away, the concept and execution were quite interesting and creative. The service had a bit of a rocky start as the initial staff member had a slight attitude, but after some time, they switched to another staff member who was much more attentive and welcoming, which significantly improved the overall experience.
Feels like traveling all over Vietnam💖 I was really impressed by the dishes that were reinterpreted through fine dining, typical Vietnamese food from the North, Central, and South! I am amazed when the taste I know comes out of food that is unfamiliar but looks pretty. Especially fish balls and bun cha are my favorites💓 Ingredients that are placed with a kick in the center? The concept is also great. They say they plan to introduce course meals with various concepts in the future, so I’m really looking forward to it!!
The food is very creative, every time I try a new dish I wonder why the chef can make such a 'very Vietnamese' dish but still produce such fine dining! Cozy space, staff pay attention and care for customers down to every little detail. Highly recommend for those who want to experience it for the first time
It was the first time I had Fine Dining after coming to Vietnam. This time I ordered a 14-course set meal. Each meal was very exquisite and had a story. It really felt like traveling from North Vietnam to South Vietnam. It was a very creative set meal. Although the portion of the meal doesn’t look like much, as a girl, I was so full that I couldn’t eat any more after the last two meals🤣 Then there were four desserts. I thought it would be a pity that I couldn’t finish them all, but the moment I entered my mouth, I suddenly realized that dessert is another stomach. I finished all four desserts😋 The waiters nho and nhat were very kind and explained clearly in both Chinese and English. It was a very pleasant dining experience!
lovely meal in Valentine day in Oryz. The journey of Vol.6 was so enjoyable. One small suggested change might be to change the cutlery after each courses.Service by Tram &Nhat was top-notch.
Came here for valentines day with my boyfriend, we really had a great time, the food was over expectation with an interesting theme and story and i loved the plating. Nhi’s service was the best, we really enjoyed our time here!
We just had a wonderful dining experience in Oryz. The food was phenomenal taste wise and with the stories in every dishes. The attention to detail on the presentation and the authenticity of the traditional Vietnamese street food within the food is absolutely on point. As well as the service, our staff/presenter miss Nhi is very fluent in english so we have no problem understanding the concept of every dish. Absolutely recommend a traveller who wants to experience Vietnamese dishes in a fine dining style to try this place once and you will never regret it!
I have been there twice (different menus). The food is very delicious and the service is excellent. It is a restaurant worth visiting again.
